I use it together with the bttr cleansing milk, and on days I've worn heavy makeup or mascara I cleanse with the cleansing balm. Personally, I feel the cleansing balm melts things more softly and cleanses more deeply than the cleansing milk.

In particular, mascara really comes off completely without an eye remover or a second cleanse.

I found it so fascinating that I even tested it by smearing a ton of mascara on my hand, and it really did melt the mascara softly lol

In the photo, the upper mascara was removed with the cleansing balm and the lower with the cleansing milk; can you see how the cleansing balm side is almost completely clean with nearly nothing left? 👀

It also emulsifies well when you add water, and there's really almost no residue after washing. So I don't do a separate second cleanse either!

I was looking for a cleanser that cleans well with just hand massaging, without cleansing tissues and without a lot of physical irritation to the skin, and I think this is where I'll settle.

As a test I put eyeliner on the back of my hand and checked whether it came off, and it was all gone even before I rinsed with water! The cleansing oil I'd been using didn't even remove half of it... It seems to clean well without having to scrub harshly, which I liked.
